'To the Rescue' depicts the nostalgia of the mighty Sea King search and rescue helicopter. The painting celebrates the agility of the now retired helicopter which is in the process of saving a stray cow which has fallen from the cliffs. The scene is inspired by a distant memory from a family holiday on the South Coast and captures the vibrancy and colour of the British Summer time. The cow appears to be almost floating in the sky giving the scene an almost dreamlike quality.
