We’re a military family and moved from the UK to Virginia Beach in 2024. We’re still finding our feet, but it already feels like home.
I’ve recently started line dancing and I love it! My weekly class is full of the loveliest ladies—it’s so welcoming, and honestly such a boost. Last month, I did the Muddy Princess 5K with a wonderful bunch of British friends. We laughed nonstop, got absolutely filthy, and had the best time. It was empowering and just what I needed. Art is my calm space. I don’t always feel confident (hello, anxiety), but when I’m painting, that all fades. It’s where I feel like me. I love a good musical while I paint! Lately, I’ve been listening to The Epic Sagas, inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. It’s haunting and beautiful, and brings back all my childhood love for Greek myths. Give it a listen if you're into that kind of thing! When you order a custom hand-painted house portrait, I now include a high-resolution digital image—totally free!
Perfect for creating your own personalized notecards, stationery, or even a tea towel (why not?). It’s a beautiful way to make your correspondence truly personal—or just treat yourself to something unique! Set on a hot summer afternoon in Pungo, this scene captures the quiet charm of a sun-drenched farmhouse surrounded by ripening strawberry fields. Plump berries glisten in the heat, waiting to be picked, while a bright red cardinal looks on from a nearby perch.
The original and 50 limited edition giclee prints are now available from my website shop. It’s always lovely to receive a kind review, but I was especially touched to learn that two of my prints will be displayed in such a prestigious building—what an honor!
Just finished this hand-painted portrait of a charming family home in Norfolk and I’m thrilled with how it turned out!
There’s something so special about preserving a place that holds so many memories. Whether it’s your first home, forever home or beloved vacation cottage, I’d love to bring its story to life in paint. I’m currently accepting commissions for custom house portraits, each one completely unique and made with care. Take a look at my HOUSE PORTRAITS page or email me to find out more! I'm so excited to share with you my completed painting!
Featuring the vibrant Pagoda nestled within the serene Oriental Gardens of Norfolk’s downtown waterfront in Freemason Harbour. It's a beautiful building and I think you can tell that I've really enjoyed painting this piece! Details include 2 mallard ducks, 3 golden koi and a cardinal in a pear tree. The original painting and 100 limited edition prints are now available from my website store. Fresh off the easel!
I'm excited to finally reveal my latest painting in acrylic on canvas named 'A Jolly Display'. Featuring the F/A-18 Super Hornets of VFA-103 Squadron, the legendary Jolly Rogers, soaring over NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach. I'm pleased to announce the original painting and 100 limited edition prints are now available from my website store. I'm thrilled to announce some of my original paintings are now in Beach Gallery, Virginia Beach!
The gallery is full of beautiful pieces by national and local artists, and I'm feeling so grateful to be exhibiting here! Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for original, affordable art by local artists! MY NEW YEAR'S CHALLENGE - to paint all the monuments and statues along Virginia Beach Oceanfront!
I've painted a few already, so I thought why not? and there's nothing quite like a January challenge to re-focus my mind after Christmas! Here's a work in progress in watercolor pen and ink, featuring the Law Enforcement Monument on 35th Street. This bronze statue was designed by Paul DiPasquale, who also created the amazing Neptune statue further up the Boardwalk. With a shocking break from tradition, I've decided to paint in the sky... new year, new me? |
