A little life update… we’re moving abroad.
It feels very emotional to say goodbye to the US after so many special memories here, and I honestly can’t thank you enough for supporting my art journey here in Virginia Beach! Before we go, this is your final opportunity to buy original paintings and prints from my website while I’m still in America. There are still a handful of originals available, including Rainbow Swamps, Cape Henry Lighthouse and King Neptune , along with lots of limited edition prints inspired by life here in coastal Virginia. I’ve always loved turning ordinary local moments into something meaningful through paint, and it means the world knowing my work hangs in so many homes. If there’s a piece you’ve been considering, now’s the time to have a look at the collection before we begin this next adventure!

Look mum I'm famous (well almost!)....I've finally got my painty hands on a Coastal Virginia Magazine and I'm thrilled to bits!!
Thank you Butch Maier for your kind interview, which can also be read through the link below. So excited to finally be able to share my painting of Virginia Beach school bus!
I wanted to capture a very special moment in time- early mornings in Virginia Beach, the dappled sunlight and the iconic yellow school bus arriving at our stop....knowing that one day, the kids will be grown up, the house will be quiet and I'll even miss the chaos! The original painting and 50 prints are now available from my website shop. Very excited to have my painting on display at Lendys 2.0 on Shore Drive.
The painting-featuring the Jolly Rogers over NAS Oceana, was just sitting at my home, gathering dust, which is very sad considering the hours that went into painting it....so I'm very grateful it will now be seen and hopefully appreciated! I honestly can't think of a more suitable place to put it, thank you for supporting a local artist! The original painting is still available to purchase as well as 100 limited edition prints! Oh my goodness, I am so incredibly excited to share this!
I am deeply honoured to be featured in Coastal Virginia Magazine. To see my artwork and story in a publication that celebrates the beauty and spirit of our coastal community truly means the world to me. A heartfelt thank you to my wonderful interviewer, Butch Maier, for writing such a kind and thoughtful story. Creating art inspired by our coastline, our architecture, and the stories within these homes and landmarks is such a joy, and I feel beyond blessed to share that journey with you all. If you’d like to read the feature, please click the link below, I would love for you to take a peek! My original painting featuring Naro Cinema, in Ghent, Norfolk, is about nostalgia and a shared passion for film.
Incidentally, every movie featured in the painting has been played at the Naro: a backdrop for first dates, friendships and lifelong traditions. I'm excited to announce that my original painting has left the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and is now available to purchase from the glorious Beach Gallery, in Virginia Beach. So excited to have some of my original watercolors available to purchase at the gorgeous Astraea Coffee in Virginia Beach.
Featuring local landmarks like the Rainbow Swamp and the Cavalier Hotel. Pop in, keep warm with a coffee, and support local. So excited to share this detailed summer beach scene: over 70 people, dolphins, pelicans, and so many special little moments.
This was a truly lovely collaboration with the lady who commissioned it after moving away, wanting to hold onto her happiest beach memories. Creating a one-of-a-kind piece like this for her home was an absolute joy! If you’d like to commission a painting to capture a place or memory that means something to you, send me a PM or visit the commissions page. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to welcome the New Year!!
A quiet walk through the rainbow swamps at First Landing State Park, one of my favourite places and the inspiration behind my watercolour painting. It felt like a moment to slow down, take it all in, and begin again. Wishing you a New Year filled with beauty, fresh air, and moments that stop you in your tracks edit. |
