I've found myself involved in a Great British Bake Off sweepstake, and my contestant was out first!
Taking inspiration from my surroundings, I decided to make a landscape cake based on one of my watercolor paintings- Rainbow Swamps!🌈 I'm a terrible baker, but luckily we have family staying with us, and Alex was here to lend a hand! The original watercolor painting of Rainbow Swamps is still available from my website store as well as limited edition prints!

I’m so excited to share that 2Beaches Studio in Virginia Beach will now be carrying a selection of my original paintings and prints!
This beautiful studio is filled with coastal-inspired treasures and is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. I’m truly thrilled to have my work showcased in such a wonderful space! I'm so pleased to now have my limited edition prints in Kitsch, located in Ghent, Norfolk.
This is a beautiful boutique full of handmade and vintage gifts (whispers-it took all my might to leave without buying anything)! Incidently, Kitsch is on the same street as Naro Cinema (just off the right of my painting), so I couldn't ask for a more idyllic location to display my work! The high-quality art prints featuring The Pagoda and Naro Cinema are available in a limited run, so once they’re gone, they’re gone! Just dropped off my painting of Naro Cinema at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, all ready for the 'Where We Meet' exhibition in October.
I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of this! Having only lived in the Virginia Beach area for just over a year and a half, I have felt so welcomed into the local community and art world...and I can't wait to celebrate this feeling of belonging in this fabulous exhibition! New Stockist Alert!
I’m so excited to share that my limited-edition prints of a Pungo Strawberry Farm are now available at the Pungo Strawberry Patch Gift Shop in Pungo, Virginia Beach. Keeping the spirit of the Strawberry Festival alive, this charming gift shop celebrates all things strawberry as well as other unique gifts! If you’re in the area, it’s well worth a visit! Absolutely thrilled to have one of my prints of Naro Cinema showcased in the movie theater's lobby!
Huge thanks to the Naro team for supporting my small business, and for the popcorn treats for my two little girls. They were over the moon! Fun fact: every film featured in the painting has actually been shown at the Naro over the years. The original artwork has been turned into a limited run of just 50 prints and there are only 30 left! I’m excited to announce that my painting of Naro Cinema has been selected to be exhibited at the Virginia Museum of Cotemporary Art in the Where We Meet exhibition!
Since completing this piece, I’ve been moved by how many people in the Hampton Roads area have shared their stories of love tied to this Art Deco gem. Opened in 1936 as The Colley Theater, the Naro has been the backdrop for first dates and a shared passion for film, a true gathering place for love and friendship. This painting is a love letter- to a place, to storytelling, and to the moments and movies that have shaped who we are. It celebrates not just nostalgia, but the deep affection we hold for the spaces and stories that make us feel most alive. 50 limited edition prints of the painting are available from my website shop. Just dropped off 'A Jolly Display' and four other original paintings at Beach Gallery & Framing, ready for their Summer Daze Art Show's opening reception this Friday....exciting!
Open to all, exhibiting new works by local artists, they'll be some tasty treats and beverages to kick off this summer's amazing show. We’re a military family and moved from the UK to Virginia Beach in 2024. We’re still finding our feet, but it already feels like home.
I’ve recently started line dancing and I love it! My weekly class is full of the loveliest ladies—it’s so welcoming, and honestly such a boost. Last month, I did the Muddy Princess 5K with a wonderful bunch of British friends. We laughed nonstop, got absolutely filthy, and had the best time. It was empowering and just what I needed. Art is my calm space. I don’t always feel confident (hello, anxiety), but when I’m painting, that all fades. It’s where I feel like me. I love a good musical while I paint! Lately, I’ve been listening to The Epic Sagas, inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. It’s haunting and beautiful, and brings back all my childhood love for Greek myths. Give it a listen if you're into that kind of thing! When you order a custom hand-painted house portrait, I now include a high-resolution digital image—totally free!
Perfect for creating your own personalized notecards, stationery, or even a tea towel (why not?). It’s a beautiful way to make your correspondence truly personal—or just treat yourself to something unique! |
