There’s something rather magical about looking across the rooftops of St Ives and seeing the jumble of historic buildings, chimneys and architectural details. From above, the town takes on a completely different character, revealing all those little shapes and textures that can be missed at street level.

This artwork is my colourful interpretation of St Ives from above, painted in my signature watercolour pen-and-ink style. I love turning the familiar into something a little unexpected, using colour, detail and my deliberately imperfect lines to capture the personality of the town.

Each print is taken from my original watercolour pen-and-ink painting, created by hand in my studio. I love bringing these familiar British places to life in a fresh and contemporary way, while still capturing the character that makes each place unique.
